As of 1 October 2024, Friends in Global Health (FGH) will complete its transition to Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Centro Pela Sa\u00fade Global (C-Sa\u00fade)<\/strong>, a Mozambican non-profit organisation created in 2021. This transition process represents a significant change in the way public health programmes are developed and implemented in Mozambique.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

A miss\u00e3o da C-Sa\u00fade \u00e9 apoiar o Governo da Rep\u00fablica de Mo\u00e7ambique, seus parceiros e a sociedade civil na concep\u00e7\u00e3o e execu\u00e7\u00e3o de programas de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica fundamentados em evid\u00eancias. A C-Sa\u00fade ter\u00e1 um papel crucial no fortalecimento do Sistema Nacional de Sa\u00fade, actuando em diversas \u00e1reas, como assist\u00eancia m\u00e9dica, laborat\u00f3rios, farm\u00e1cias, sistemas de informa\u00e7\u00e3o em sa\u00fade, gest\u00e3o de recursos humanos, sa\u00fade comunit\u00e1ria, comunica\u00e7\u00e3o em sa\u00fade, informa\u00e7\u00e3o estrat\u00e9gica e na realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de avalia\u00e7\u00f5es e pesquisas. Estas ac\u00e7\u00f5es visam criar programas eficazes e enriquecer o conhecimento na \u00e1rea de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica.O processo de transi\u00e7\u00e3o da FGH para a C-Sa\u00fade come\u00e7ou em Maio de 2023, com a assinatura de um sub-acordo que transferiu todo o suporte central que a FGH provia aos sistemas de informa\u00e7\u00e3o em sa\u00fade sob o apoio do President\u2019s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) em Mo\u00e7ambique. Em Outubro de 2023, esta transi\u00e7\u00e3o se expandiu para as actividades de apoio t\u00e9cnico e cl\u00ednico nos distritos de Nicoadala e Derre, na prov\u00edncia da Zamb\u00e9zia.

<\/span>Actualmente, a n\u00edvel central, provincial e distrital, a direc\u00e7\u00e3o da FGH promove encontros com todos os colaboradores da organiza\u00e7\u00e3o para fornecer informa\u00e7\u00f5es detalhadas sobre este processo de transi\u00e7\u00e3o. Os encontros t\u00eam como finalidade esclarecer d\u00favidas e explicar sobre as implica\u00e7\u00f5es e oportunidades que surgir\u00e3o nesta nova fase. A participa\u00e7\u00e3o de todos os colaboradores \u00e9 crucial para a continua\u00e7\u00e3o de um ambiente de trabalho colaborativo e transparente durante este per\u00edodo de mudan\u00e7a.Com a finaliza\u00e7\u00e3o da transi\u00e7\u00e3o, toda a equipe de recursos humanos que anteriormente estava sob a responsabilidade da FGH ser\u00e1 integrada \u00e0 C-Sa\u00fade. A supervis\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica da equipe distrital continuar\u00e1 a ser realizada pela equipe provincial e central da C-Sa\u00fade, que permanece respons\u00e1vel perante os doadores pela implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do projecto.

\u00c9 importante ressaltar que esta transi\u00e7\u00e3o faz parte de um esfor\u00e7o mais amplo para transferir a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o dos programas de controle da epidemia do HIV em Mo\u00e7ambique das organiza\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o governamentais internacionais para entidades locais. Esta mudan\u00e7a representa um passo importante em direc\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 autonomia e capacita\u00e7\u00e3o das organiza\u00e7\u00f5es locais para liderar iniciativas de sa\u00fade no seu pr\u00f3prio territ\u00f3rio. Com o avan\u00e7o de Mo\u00e7ambique na constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um sistema de sa\u00fade mais forte e resiliente, a C-Sa\u00fade surge como uma for\u00e7a local determinada a liderar a luta contra doen\u00e7as epid\u00eamicas e fortalecer a sa\u00fade p\u00fablica de forma geral.<\/span><\/p>\n

The transition process from FGH to C-Sa\u00fade began in May 2023, with the signing of a sub-agreement that transferred all the central support that FGH provided to health information systems under the support of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Mozambique. In October 2023, this transition expanded to technical and clinical support activities in the districts of Nicoadala and Derre in Zambezia province. Currently, at central, provincial and district level, the FGH management is holding meetings with all the organization’s employees to provide detailed information about this transition process. The purpose of the meetings is to clarify doubts and explain the implications and opportunities that will arise in this new phase. The participation of all employees is crucial for the continuation of a collaborative and transparent working environment during this period of change. With the finalization of the transition, the entire human resources team that was previously under the responsibility of the FGH will be integrated into C-Sa\u00fade. The technical supervision of the district team will continue to be carried out by C-Sa\u00fade’s provincial and central team, which remains accountable to the donors for the implementation of the project. It is important to note that this transition is part of a wider effort to transfer the implementation of HIV epidemic control programmes in Mozambique from international non-governmental organizations to local entities. This change represents an important step towards the autonomy and empowerment of local organizations to lead health initiatives in their own territory. The technical supervision of the district team will continue to be carried out by C-Sa\u00fade’s provincial and central team, which remains accountable to the donors for the implementation of the project. It is important to note that this transition is part of a wider effort to transfer the implementation of HIV epidemic control programmes in Mozambique from international non-governmental organizations to local entities. This change represents an important step towards the autonomy and empowerment of local organizations to lead health initiatives in their own territory.
