Cerca de 100 trabalhadores da \u00e1rea operacional do Porto de Maputo (Sociedade de Desenvolvimento do Porto de Maputo - MPDC) participaram, no \u00faltimo s\u00e1bado, numa conversa aberta promovida pela C-Sa\u00fade sobre preven\u00e7\u00e3o do HIV, com foco no Lenacapavir, uma nova op\u00e7\u00e3o de PrEP inject\u00e1vel que oferece protec\u00e7\u00e3o durante seis meses com uma \u00fanica dose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A iniciativa teve como objectivo esclarecer d\u00favidas e promover o di\u00e1logo sobre as diferentes op\u00e7\u00f5es de preven\u00e7\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis em Mo\u00e7ambique, refor\u00e7ando uma mensagem simples: quando as pessoas t\u00eam acesso a informa\u00e7\u00e3o clara e a diferentes alternativas, podem escolher o m\u00e9todo, ou combina\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00e9todos, que melhor se adapta \u00e0 sua realidade e necessidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sess\u00e3o foi marcada por perguntas, partilha de experi\u00eancias e participa\u00e7\u00e3o activa, demonstrando a import\u00e2ncia de levar informa\u00e7\u00e3o de qualidade sobre sa\u00fade e preven\u00e7\u00e3o aos locais de trabalho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A C-Sa\u00fade \u00e9 parceira do Minist\u00e9rio da Sa\u00fade de Mo\u00e7ambique na implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do Lenacapavir na prov\u00edncia da Zamb\u00e9zia, onde a oferta deste iniciou a a 29 de Abril de 2026. Fora da Zamb\u00e9zia, atrav\u00e9s de actividades de voluntariado dos seus membros, a C-Sa\u00fade promove este m\u00e9todo inovador que pode ter uma contribui\u00e7\u00e3o decisiva para o controlo da epidemia do HIV.<\/strong> Mo\u00e7ambique integra um grupo pioneiro de nove pa\u00edses africanos que est\u00e3o a iniciar a oferta este ano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around 100 operational workers from the Port of Maputo (Maputo Port Development Society – MPDC) took part last Saturday in an open discussion on HIV prevention led by C-Sa\u00fade, with a focus on Lenacapavir, a new long-acting injectable prevention option that provides protection against HIV for six months with a single dose. The initiative aimed to answer questions and promote dialogue around the different HIV prevention options available in Mozambique, reinforcing a simple message: when people have access to clear information and a range of alternatives, they are better equipped to choose the method \u2014 or combination of methods \u2014 that best suits their circumstances and needs. The session was marked by active participation, thoughtful questions and the sharing of experiences, highlighting the importance of bringing high-quality health and prevention information into the workplace. C-Sa\u00fade is a partner of Mozambique\u2019s Ministry of Health in the implementation of Lenacapavir in Zamb\u00e9zia Province, where the provision of this prevention method began on 29 April 2026. Beyond Zamb\u00e9zia, through the voluntary efforts of its members, C-Sa\u00fade continues to promote this innovative option, which has the potential to make a significant contribution to controlling the HIV epidemic. Mozambique is among a pioneering group of nine African countries that are introducing Lenacapavir this year.
