O ponto de virada na vida de Ancha aconteceu a 11 de abril de 2019, quando ela recebeu a notícia de seu diagnóstico positivo para HIV durante uma consulta pré-natal. A descoberta foi devastadora, mas não a paralisou. Com coragem e determinação, Ancha decidiu que não deixaria o vírus defini-la.

Ela imediatamente, conforme a orientação do provedor de saúde, juntos começaram com o tratamento antirretroviral (TARV) e iniciaram uma nova fase das suas vidas.

Thanks to the effectiveness of prevention of vertical transmission treatment, her first child was born negative. Ancha was a devoted and loving mother, nurturing her son with care and protection, always with the aim of weaning him safely and healthily.
A jornada de Ancha não parou por aí. Encorajada pelo sucesso de seu primeiro filho, decidiu ter um segundo filho.
A new blessing came into her life: her second baby was also born without HIV because she complied with the prevention of vertical transmission. This achievement was not only a personal victory, but a testament to the positive impact that HIV awareness and effective prevention of vertical transmission during pregnancy can have on a woman’s life.
