Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal and health data is a priority for the Associação Centro pela Saúde Global (hereinafter referred to as C-Saúde). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect data provided by Users of applications developed by C-Saúde (hereinafter referred to as the “App”).
For the purposes of this policy:
“Personal Data”: means any information that, directly or indirectly, identifies or may identify an actual identified or identifiable person, such as name, document number, date of birth, IP address, among others.
“Sensitive Personal Data”: means any information that reveals, in relation to a person, racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, membership of a trade union or organization of a religious, philosophical or political nature, and data relating to health or sexual life, genetic or biometric data;
“Handling of Personal Data”: means any operation performed related to Personal Data, whether by automatic means or not, such as the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transfer, dissemination or, alternatively, making available, harmonization or association, restriction, erasure or destruction of data. Any other operation accounted for under applicable law is also considered Handling of Personal Data.
“Applicable Data Protection Legislation”:
The Constitution of the Republic of Mozambique and the Civil Code, which protect respect for privacy.
Law No. 3/2017 of January 9, which approves the Legal Framework for Electronic Transactions and contains provisions regarding the Protection of Personal Electronic Data, particularly in articles 63 and 64.
The Patient’s Rights and Duties Charter, approved by Resolution No. 73/2007 of December 18, regarding the right to data confidentiality.
“Solutions”: means all products, services and software developed and provided by the App and acquired under the terms of the private tools that will regulate this commercial relationship.
1. INFORMATION COLLECTED
When using the App, we may collect the following types of information:
• Personal Data: First name, last name, date of birth, age, telephone number, and other identifiable information provided by the user.
• Data from the health facility where the circumcision will be performed and the date of the appointment.
• Usage Data: Information about how the App is used, including access and interaction logs, the IP address, and device data – such as operating system and device model.
2. PURPOSE OF DATA HANDLING
The data collected will be used for the following purposes:
• To ensure the proper functioning of the App;
• To process and securely store health information for personal or clinical use;
• To provide reports and analyses when applicable;
• To improve the services offered, including technical support and updates;
• To confirm or correct existing information about the user in the App;
• To send information that may be of interest to you;
• To make contact through a provided phone number and/or email address. Contact may be made in person, by voice message, through automatic dialing equipment, by text message (SMS), by email, or by any other means of communication the device is capable of receiving, whenever necessary.
3. DATA SHARING
Data will not be shared with third parties except in the following circumstances:
• With the health facility where the User will be treated within the scope of the Program and with other institutions of or linked to the National Health System, in some way linked to the Program;
• With consent: When the User expressly authorizes us to share the data.
• By legal obligation: When required by law, court order or regulatory authority.
• With service providers: Data may be shared with contracted service providers (such as cloud hosting or analysis tools), always in accordance with this Privacy Policy and ensuring adequate data protection.
In addition, Personal Data provided may also be used in any manner determined to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable Data Protection legislation; (b) to meet legal process demands; (c) to comply with a court order, regulatory decision or decision of competent authorities; (d) to enforce the Terms and Conditions of Use; (e) to protect operations; (f) to protect rights, privacy, security; (g) to detect and prevent fraud; (h) in other ways permitted by law.
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
We use technical and organizational measures to protect User data against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or destruction. These measures include:
• Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted in transit and permanently stored.
• Access Control: Only authorized personnel have access to information.
• Regular Auditing: We conduct security audits and testing to ensure compliance with best practices.
Data will be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
5. USER RIGHTS
The User has the following rights in relation to their data:
• Access to Data: The User may request a copy of stored personal data.
• Correct Data: The User may update or correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete Data: The User may request the deletion of their data, except when storage is required by law.
• Revoke Consent: The User may withdraw consent to the handling of their data, if applicable.

6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
If data is transferred to servers located outside Mozambique, we ensure that these transfers comply with applicable legal requirements, including the adoption of standard contractual clauses or international agreements that protect them.
7. ALTERATIONS TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the services or applicable regulations. We will notify Users of significant changes through the App.

C-Saúde does not intend to commercialize and/or share App User information with third parties. This information will be used solely to serve the User within the scope of the Project, without prejudice to the situations presented here.
C-Saúde is not responsible, expressly or tacitly, for the misuse of the information, tools, solutions, materials made available, and/or equipment used by the App, for any purpose, by any User being that the User is solely responsible for any harm to their own rights or the rights of third parties, whether caused by such misuse or not.
By using the App, the User agrees to the terms of this Privacy Policy and authorizes the handling of their data under the terms established.
Meaning, the data owner ensures they have read and agree to the content of this policy, that they are fully legally capable of agreeing to and accepting this policy, that they registered and opted into the App freely and voluntarily, that they do so at their own risk, and that they are responsible for the data and information provided and for their interaction with the App.
